The Unusual Pet Vets Peninsula

I absolutely love the Unusual pet vet peninsula. My go to vet, called one morning because my baby budgie was unwell they squeezed him in that day Dr. Hamish Baron had a look at him and checked my other budgie who I brought along for company for free. Was sent home with medication and was hopeful unfortunately my budgie died two months later but absolutely nothing of the vets fault it was just the sickness was already quite far along. But brought my budgie Bertram in for a checkup was worried he had what my other budgie had died from but he was completely fine. Wasn’t able to see my usual vet as he was away but saw Dr. Shane who is just as knowledgeable and passionate. I don’t have much money generally to spend but I don’t mind spending the appointment costs as I get the best care possible and every time I have seen the vet I was booked for an emergency so my price was increased which is understandable for overtime and inconvenience. But now I have my regular vet Dr. Hamish which I have all four of my parrots booked in for in November! Would definitely recommend honestly the best bet I’ve been too.

I brought in my Muscovy drake Roy in an emergency situation when he was critically ill, and received prompt, amazing and compassionate care from the entire team. The team accepted Roy as an emergency transfer even though im sure they were extremely busy, and were compassionate and helpful. Roy is no longer with us, but the answers we recieved from his diagnostics gave us peace of mind, and the team were incredibly generous with their time and expertise. I can only say wonderful things about the care given, and would not hesitate to visit with any of my other pets. Thanks to Dr Hamish and the rest of the team

These guys are the best in the business. I've been taking my two rabbits here for years and I will never go anywhere else. The Vets and nurses here are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to small animals so I always know my rabbits will receive the best care. On the few occasions when we've needed to come in for emergency visits, they have always been so accommodating and compassionate in those stressful times. I can't thank Dr James and the team enough for the amazing work they do.

Definitely will be coming back! Bought my 3 blue tongues here and couldn't be happier. Dr Hamish was very knowledgeable about reptiles and staff were very nice. Very reasonable pricing for 3 x-rays, health checks and a month worth of antibiotics for my sick reptile. Definitely worth the almost 2 hour drive. Excited for many visits to come!

The most empathetic, professional and kind team of people!! I called UPV late last night with an emergency for my pet galah. Beautiful Amy answered the phone, kept me calm and gave me advice! Going in for the hospital admission I was met by two of the most welcoming client services members I have ever experienced! The Dr we saw was bubbly, extremely knowledgeable and handled my not so friendly galah with skill! They admitted her for hospitalisation and further workup and I was blown away by how low the fees were estimated. These guys deserve so much! I’d argue they could raise their fees by 100%, easily justified. Thank you immensely for looking after my girl. - Cornelia
